Life Is Funny: When The Morning Comes

By MAD21

One of the greatest things about the internet is that you stumble on things you would never have before. We love watching (good/well produced) videos people put together that are fun and totally random.

There is a group we've been following for a little while because they do an awesome job not only writing their own songs, but the videos they make. They have been working together for about 12 years (two of them have been friends since they were 11).

Tasty Bites: Panic Pizza

By Candy, RN (Steele the Day)

Why panic? Because yesterday Ginny sent me a message “Are you going to have a post for me tomorrow?” YIKES! Somehow between trying to get my computer humming again and Thursday, time slipped away. And when time slips away, I fall back on pizza.

I went to the photo archives and sure enough, I found one of my favorites. Add to that the fact that I keep pizza dough in the refrigerator most of the time, thanks to Pioneer Woman. Up until I “met her” (I wish), I could never make pizza dough right. So with a couple of modifications, here’s my honey-wheat pizza dough stand-by. It’s supposed to keep in the refrigerator for three or four days, and I may or may not have used it after 10 days and it turned out just fine.

YOB: #15. Go To A Cave

By Beth

The weekend of August 7-8, 2009 was a busy one for the Robto Posse. Tea with scones, massage, fancy fast food and now, for your reading pleasure, the final chapter of that weekend...cave.

Really, on our list at number 15, it just said "cave." No details, locations or instructions. Just "cave." One could take this to mean we give in on an important issue, say, Equal Opportunity Public Toplessness (seriously, there's a group of women in Maine fighting for just that). Or it could mean building pillow/blanket caves all over Lara's house, not seeing the sunlight for days. Since we wrote the list long before the Year of the Birthday officially started, it would be entirely possible that we had forgotten by August what we meant by "cave." Luckily, we were only turning 30 and, for the most part, we still have all our faculties. We could remember that "cave" meant going on a guided tour of a cave. When we turn 40, however, it may be another story.

Bartimaeus Faith

By Pat

Do you ever allow yourself to feel unworthy of a touch from Jesus? Do you ever let the success, wealth, beauty and power of other people push you to the outskirts of the crowd, or permit society too remind you that you will never attain the status that will catapult you to lofty positions in life?

I think we have all done this in our lives, but those feelings are certainly not from God! That's the devil at work! In Mark 10:46-52, we encounter Bartimaeus, a blind beggar. As Jesus and His disciples and a large crowd were passing him by, he called out to Jesus to have mercy on him, and although he was scolded and told by the crowd to be quiet, he again called out "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
