SNOWDAY ~ DAY 2

There are few things more beautiful than a sunny, gorgeous day after 36 hours of snowfall/blizzard conditions. The snow is still too powdery to build our snowmen, but it's perfect for building our fort and trail for sledding (which we did after shoveling our driveway and sidewalks... again).

I should share my favorite quote of the weekend. Yesterday, we had spent all morning outside playing and shoveling snow off the driveway and sidewalks. We came inside to warm up, dry off and eat some lunch. After we had gone back outside, the girls got to go sledding with some of our favorite teens up the street while my hubby and I went back to work on the driveway and sidewalks. As we stood looking at the driveway for a moment, my hubby says to me, "It's like someone hit the reset button." The snow we removed earlier that day was about six-seven inches deep. Now it looked like we hadn't done a thing. It was even deeper this time. Well, fortunately, being from the northwest, I love shoveling snow. So. We got to work... again.

I should also mention our trampoline... something we hadn't thought about until late yesterday afternoon. There was about two and a half feet of snow in the middle and it was sagging down about a foot and a half from the weight. The snow had also drifted up around the edges on the ground around it. It took me an hour to clean it off. Now that was A LOT of snow!

Our fort and sledding path.

The county said we officially got 19 inches, but with the sun shining and with the snow melting and stettling, our average depth was 13 inches.

What KC does on snowdays... and any other day.
