We've been looking for ideas regarding storage/functionality while creating a playroom in our house. I've written before about the fight to keep our house from turning into a giant toy box. I'm always looking for good ideas regarding how to make toys accessible but also easily storable.

We came across an idea that totally fits within those needs, but is also an awesome idea regarding decorating the playroom itself. Fellow blogger, Beckie, from Infarrantly Creative recently posted, "Game Board Storage Art." It's a brilliant idea to get all those game boxes, which are horrible to store because of all the varying sizes and shapes, off the shelves and onto your walls. Yes, walls... as art!

Be sure to go check out her post, but the general idea is that you make a frame for the board (which is the art that shows), while storing the game pieces on the back, inside the frame. Whenever you want to play the game, just take it off the wall and you're ready to go.

Functional, yet a really cool way to decorate your playroom! We will be doing this when we are done getting our room together. Thanks for the great idea, Beckie!

Every Wednesday, fellow blogger Kristen at We are THAT Family posts clever ideas for getting things done. She calls it, "Works For Me Wednesday" or WFMW. Be sure to go visit her blog to read her post along with links to other blogs who are participating.
