Website: Kids Are Heroes

By MAD21

I stumbled across the website Kids Are Heros awhile back, and it's just plain awesome. If you know of any kids who are Making A Difference with their lives by reaching out to others--or WANT to, you should let them know. This is what they say:

"Kids are indeed heroes and each one has the power to change the world.  The Kids Are Heroes™ web site is dedicated to them.  Are you a kid looking for ideas on how you can make a difference?  Are you a parent looking for ways to inspire your children?"

This website was created by a 10 year old named Mary Margaret with the help of her dad. Go check it out and read her story as well as all the others she has posted on her site.

They have an event coming up at the Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick, MD on October 24th from 10:00-4:00 if you are in the area. It's called: Kids Are Heros Day 2009

"All the kids from the Kids Are Heroes web site are invited to participate. They will be raising awareness for their causes and collecting donations for them as well.  Entertainment will be provided for kids of all ages.  Bring your children to become inspired and to meet and encourage these wonderful kids.  All of them will be brought on stage at 1:00 PM to receive an award from the mall.  This promises to be a special day!"
