Fingerprint Friday: Waiting Rooms
By MAD21
I recently went to a doctor's appointment with a close friend of mine. As I was in the waiting room waiting for her to come back out, I was reading a devotional book, along with a small pocket Bible, I had brought with me to read and pass the time.
I have to say my time in the waiting room was actually quite funny. There were a lot of elderly people coming and going, and their comments to each other were hilarious. But in the end it was just me and another older gentleman sitting across from me. As I sat quietly reading for several minutes, he asked me if I was carrying a Bible. I said, "Yes." He then went into a pretty great discussion about how much he loved God and his church. He'd said he had a really good relationship with his pastor and that they were "great buddies." I agreed that it was so important. I told him, "I am a mom of two little kids. I dont' know what I'd do without God."
It was a great conversation. I will not soon forget it. The glow from this kind man will stay with me for a very long time. He definitely had fingerprints all over him, and I'm glad he shared them with me.
Fellow blogger Beki at The Rusted Chain has a really great weekly post she does every Friday called "Fingerprint Friday." We are to look around and see where we can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Anywhere? Go find out where Beki saw God this week, and be sure to check out the other bloggers who linked their stories as well.

Great story. I can feel the warmth. :)
Very nice.
My prayer is that His fingerprints upon my life would be visible for the world to see, just like the gentleman you met in the waiting room. Let us shine for Him.
That's wonderful! I love when things like that happen.
That was very nice. How neat when people, especially in a waiting room, take the time to share warmth and friendship. That can be such a cold place, with people miserable because of illness. Such a blessing that wasn't the case in this story!
