Fingerprint Friday: Progress
By MAD21
After a long three-year process and issues with the county permitting office for the last two months, we are almost finished with the excavation and regrading of our property. I am so excited. We've been so busy with all the planning and politics, that I had forgotten what it was like to dream about how beautiful it will be when we are done. I am glad to say I've had the opportunity to do just that in the last few days. We still need to get the new fence put in and all the plants and bushes in the ground, but that's just the icing. The hardest part of the project is over.
I am so thankful for such a great contractor, Pinnacle Excavating, who could have totally bailed on us when it got difficult, but didn't. He worked diligently from planning, to permitting, to execution and did it professionally and with such a great attitude.
I am also grateful for the wonderful county personnel who came through for us in the end. It surely makes life that much better when you can work with people who are not only dedicated to the rules and regulations, but want to help you to fix your problems and work with you to find a resolution.
You all are covered in the fingerprints of God. I pray he blesses you for the wonderful work you have done for us.
Fellow blogger Beki at The Rusted Chain has a really great weekly post she does every Friday called "Fingerprint Friday." We are to look around and see where we can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Anywhere? Go find out where Beki saw God this week, and be sure to check out the other bloggers who linked their stories as well.

Wow, sounds like a frustrating journey that took enormous perseverance. Best wishes with the completion of your project.
Get back to dreaming! What a great feeling it will be to have this all behind you. It will be so worth it - I'm glad to hear things are moving along - can't wait for pictures :)
Wonderful. Progress is so appreciated!
What a wonderful Fingerprint. God does have His own timetable and He uses such things as delays as teaching moments.
Glad you can finally begin the fun part! Great lesson in this fingerprint. Thanks!
