Always Love Your Family

TB, Age 13

No matter where you’re family lives, or what mistakes they’ve made in their past, you can’t help but to love them for everything they truly are.

That is what I learned at my family reunion for my mom’s side of the family this past weekend. More than half the people there, I have never met in my life, but I was willing to accept anyone I would call family. One man had two teeth, and made so many mistakes in his past. To watch him be a better person, or at least trying to improve his life, with the help of his family and God, turned him into a better person. I admit, this wasn’t the top of my I want to do list, but It was nice to get to know people I may never see again. Though my cousins were complaining the whole time, I got to tell them that there is nothing that can ever replace your family. From 18 months old to 94 years old, love & respect everyone, because nothing can top the love, your family can give or receive.

By TB, Age 13

Finally, the long awaited three years of middle school has been complete! But you come to learn that what you were so eager and excited to get to, is now what you’re most nervous about. The Dreaded "Talk"

You know it. "Hon, we need to talk... How do you Define The Relationship?" Otherwise known in an article on Boundless as, "DTR." They have a really great assessment you can take to help you better understand your relationship and what kind of future it might have.

Boundless states, "The purpose of this assessment is to help you see how your evidence of connection compares to your level of clarity about your relationship. This assessment is structured to be helpful both for those who have seen a relationship grow over a period of time but want to know if it's moving toward a more formal romantic relationship and those who want to know if their formal romantic relationship is moving toward marriage."

Go. Read the article, and take the test. It might help you decide whether or not you should be in a relationship with someone, and if you have a future together. Blessings.

What Kind of Friend Are You?

By MAD21

We all love a good quiz. Not only are they fun (well, some of them are), they help to teach us about what kind of person we are, and maybe give us ways to help us become a better person.

It's important, however, to keep a good perspective. The quizes are only meant for fun. Even though the questions and results of the quiz can make you think about who you are, there is no scientific proof that any of the information is true. You might take the same quiz the next day and get entirely different answers.

So with that said, here is our first quiz. Have you ever wondered,"What Kind of Friend You Are?" Take this fun little quiz and find out. When you're done taking the quiz. Come back here and post what your results were.

If You Knew Then What You Know Now...

Reposted By Erika

I was asked today by the youth minister at my home church what I wish I had been told when I was in middle/high school about sexuality/relationships/sex, etc. in preparation for an upcoming series on the subject(s).

I think it's hard for me to even know where to start. I made so many mistakes - mistakes which started in middle school. I know a lot of well-meaning adults said a lot of things to try and deter me from making bad decisions. But I have always been the kind who had to learn the hard way.
