Go... Make a Difference

Let us not become weary in doing
good, for at the proper time we will
reap a harvest if we do not give up.

What Will They Say?

"...if Abraham Lincoln was right, I’ve got a lot more than dishes and toilets to live up to.

"All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother," Honest Abe said.

So I wonder: what will my sons say about me someday?

Will they call me an angel?

Or will they ask the angels why they got stuck with me?

Will they say I helped them be who they hoped to be?

Or will they just hope they don’t resemble me?

Faith Is Not Irrational

"A lot of people have the wrong idea about what faith is. I’ve heard people say that faith is an irrational commitment to beliefs despite evidence to the contrary. I’ve heard others say that faith is like a blind leap into darkness. That’s not faith; that’s stupidity. Faith is actually the opposite. You could describe faith as a leap out of darkness back into the light. Faith is not irrational. It’s based upon coherent and consistent reasoning."

Never Assume There Will Be A Tomorrow

"Our time on this earth is numbered, and we never know when we’ll take out last breath. Never assume there will be a tomorrow or take a loved one for granted. Count your blessings often and enjoy every second with your family… even on the days when it isn’t easy."

Times For Letting Go

"But there are times for letting go, too. Times when holding on means to neither live nor die, but merely to roam. Our perseverance and tenacity can become twisted into something it was never meant to be, leaving us bitter instead of strengthened and a mere specter instead of a person."

Remembering The Tune Of Love

"My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being.  I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune."
