Visual Goal Journal

The Visual Goal Journal is created in a blank book that you fill with images that represent your goals. For some, having a visual record of what you are trying to achieve is more effective then just a bunch of words on a piece of paper. It can be the catalyst that allows you to move past the fear of committing your goals to paper.
1. Purchase a sturdy binder/book that you can easily add and/or remove pages. A scrapbook with page protectors would be ideal. Decorate and personalize your journal.
2. Formulate a design plan and then divide your book into categories that represent the main "areas" of your goals. I suggest: house and home, family, career, education, health/physical, recreation, spirituality, and finances.
3. In each section write your current goals. Think of it as a work in progress so there may be times you come back and edit your goals to reflect who you are now. As you achieve your goals, you will continue to add to the sections.
4. On the several pages following the goals make lists, paste photos, sketches, magazine pictures, quotes, color swatches, etc...that represent these goals. Take this opportunity to write down some actions steps, including time frames. You may want to list the action steps and resources you will need to achieve these goals. Don't forget to include the reward or the end-result. It is important to have an image of what you are striving to accomplish!
Here is a Template you can use to start your goals journal. Be creative! There is no right or wrong way to do this.
