Life Is Funny: Interruptions and Bananas

By MAD21

If you have little kids you know that it is nearly impossible to finish anything... the dishes, a book, a phone call... a sentence. We love them like crazy, but our kids just don't seem to understand what it means to not interrupt.

This video is a clip from one of my most favorite episodes of The Muppet Show with Harry Belafonte. Hopefully you can watch it without interruptions  *grin*

It really is the first time Harry Belafonte ever performed it on TV. Apparently he and Jim Henson were great friends. It was a big deal for him to perform this song. I'm so glad he did.

My friend and fellow blogger Wendy at Weight..What? has a fun carnival at her blog called "Life is Funny." Every Monday we talk about something in life that we find funny. Be sure to go visit her blog to read her post along with links to other blogs who are participating.

Totally off topic, but why won't they just bring back a version of the Muppet Show? That would be awesome.

Not off topic at all, Jason. They actually do have a bunch of new stuff. But it's all on YouTube:

I'm sure shows like this would be hard to produce because they no longer fit the "model" of what they think kids want. Don't know who they are talking to, though. My kids LOVE anything Muppets.
