Fingerprint Fridays: Birthdays
By MAD21
Well. It happened. I said "good-bye" to my 30s this week. And as weird as it feels to say that I'm 40 <choke-gasp>, I have to say that I am thankful to have another birthday to celebrate, you know, considering the alternative!
I'm thankful for all the birthday wishes I got this week from friends and family. Reminders that even with crazy schedules and so little time to visit with them at this point in our lives, that they are still there loving me. So while this is really just a day marking the moment when I was born into this world, I am happy to have the opportunity to have the time to make that connection with those I love. The best gift ever. A gift covered with the fingerprints of God.
Fellow blogger Beki at The Rusted Chain has a really great weekly post she does every Friday called "Fingerprint Friday." We are to look around and see where we can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Anywhere? Go find out where Beki saw God this week, and be sure to check out the other bloggers who linked their stories as well.

Happy Birthday! That's great you're able to take a step back and see that all of your friends and family are always loving you! It can be a hard thing to remember sometimes when life get crazy, like you said. Happy Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday again! I always love the opportunities to reflect and celebrate God's goodness. It's so cool that we have built into our culture these pauses to take stock. Sure, we may not always like what see, but we have the opportunity to make a change once we see them. Okay, I'm off topic now- happy birthday, Ginny. :)
Happy Birthday! Love and good wishes...what better birthday gift can there be, especially if their from those we don't often see. Ha! A bit of a rhyme, just for you. Hope you have a lovely birthday.
Well, it would have been a better poem if I had spelled "they're" properly!
Happy Birthday! My husband's was this week too and he would LOVE to be 40 again. It seems quite young to us, all a matter of perspective! I am glad you are enjoying your blessings. :)
Happy Birthday! I too will turn the big 4-0 on the 16th! Dosen't bother me either. I have my health, awesome family, I surely don't feel 40, & truly blessed! =)
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I suppose turning 40 (getting older) is all a matter of perspective. I am happy to still be able to do all the things I do, even if it's a little slower :o)
