Go... Make a Difference

Let us not become weary in doing
good, for at the proper time we will
reap a harvest if we do not give up.

"A New Picture of God"

"Much change has happened through Heather’s heartache, including her view of God. “The rape has changed my view,” Heather said. “I don’t see God as a jolly, old man in the sky any more.” Heather’s childlike picture of God has been replaced by a deeper truth that brings comfort — a God who is her Provider and Sustainer, a God who grieves when she experiences pain.

“God is compassionate yet big enough to handle any problem,” Heather said. “I’ve found I don’t need to minimize my pain. I don’t have to say ‘Oh, everything is fine’ when it’s not. Yes, there are a lot of tough things that happen in life, but God is good.” "

Be Willing To Make The Effort

"I guess that’s really what it’s about…giving what we can (even the little things) and letting God do the rest. It doesn’t matter if we know the impact we’ve made or not, it’s that we were willing to make the effort, go the extra mile, plant the seed… "

You Fail Us Not

You Fail Us Not by 1000 Generations:

"Failure doesn't phase you.
Worry doesn't win.
Lost doesn't leave you afraid to start again.
Our sin doesn't shock you.
Our shame doesn't shame you at all.
Mistakes do not move you.
Terror doesn't tame.
Death doesn't doom you to life in the grave.
Our suffering doesn't scare you.
Our secrets won't surprise you at all.
At all...."

God's Presence

"God is out there, colliding atoms and turning the wheels of the universe.  He’s balancing Time on his shoulders and rubbing off the stars so they shine.  But He’s also here.  He moves my tiny heart to feel, my insignificant eyes to weep and my deafened ears to listen.  He moves child feet to walk and skip in the grass in the yard and little fingers to work puzzles in the afternoon."

The Value of a Job

"Because the value of a person's job doesn't depend upon what it allows him to have, but what it allows him to become."

- A quote from Buster written by Billy Coffey on his blog What I Learned Today
