Go... Make a Difference

Let us not become weary in doing
good, for at the proper time we will
reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Identity Matters

"...Our identity must be in Him [God].  We cannot allow ourselves to be defined by our past, present, or even future.  We cannot allow ourselves to be defined by our failures, frustrations, heartaches, and disappointments.  On the other side, we cannot allow ourselves to be defined by our successes, growth, power, or influence either.  We have to fully embrace and allow ourselves to be defined by His love and grace."

God Doesn't Always Whisper

"God doesn't always whisper. Sometimes He simply brings The Answer to mind without words, by directing attention to what's needed. Sometimes within conscience, there is certainty of what must be done...Our part is to give Him our attention, trust Him without argument, and heed Him without hesitation."

Ready and Waiting

"...I sit in limbo land, not comfortable living in the past and not sure what the future holds, yet feeling strangely encouraged. Encouraged because I am confident that my discomfort is a road sign reassuring my path; my trepidation is a herald of the extraordinary adventure that lies ahead; my anxiousness a reminder that I am fully living in the present.

And I refuse to be a hostage to my past or my future.

“And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.” (2 Corinthians 3:18, The Message)

Change Takes Time

"Whatever hyperspace drive is selected, whether it’s Captain Kirk calling for “Warp speed!” or the Battlestar Galactica jumping from Cylons with the "Faster-Than-Light Drive," we do not have the luxury of microwaving our spiritual growth.

You’d think from reading some headlines today that such a thing actually exists:  Kick Old Habits Out To The Curb in 30 Days, Be The New You in a Week, or how about Achieve Your Dreams By Doing A, B, and C?

Maybe that is why God chose a time-honoring skill like carpentry as his earthly occupation.  God enjoys crafting something of value, working with His hands."

Failure: Beginning Or End?

"Judas and Peter both failed miserably. The result of failure? Judas: Suicide. Peter: Leads a revival 50 days later of which we are still feeling the effects. Failure can either be the END or the BEGINNING--but it's entirely your choice."
